Do you want to design, prototype, test, and build your designs within walking distance from your desk? Together we want to revolutionize the comfort and ride quality of fast vessels.
Humphree is an entrepreneurial company in the marine industry. We develop industry-leading trim and stabilization systems for motor vessels. We lower the ship’s emissions and improve the comfort for people onboard. Our market is global, and our products are mounted on some of the world's most advanced ships. Our headquarters is in Gothenburg, where all departments including production are under the same roof.
For a long time, Humphree has proudly delivered first-class products and services at a high pace. We have no intention of stopping and are working on several industry-changing projects. Our business is growing and so is our demand for the right people. We are now looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our crew.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be a key member of our team and help develop the mechanics needed to create clever stabilizing solutions with robustness worthy of the maritime professionals who rely on our systems in their daily work. This involves designing housings for electronics, actuator gearboxes, carbon fins, and everything in between, including quality assurance of the finished product. You’ll work in a team of four mechanical design engineers, and in collaboration with our software engineers, you will create mechatronic control systems that revolutionize the comfort and ride quality of fast vessels.
Are you looking for an exciting next port of call, an opportunity to work with all aspects of designing a great product? At Humphree you have a rare opportunity to bring your ideas to life. We are a tight team and work closely with all company departments, which means you will have the opportunity to be involved from the first design draft, prototype building & testing, to the final product. We have a diversified network of customers, partners, and suppliers who are key to our design process. In this position, you will get involved with interesting marine locations and industry professionals. Are you up for the challenge?
We are looking for someone with a minimum of 3 years of mechanical design experience and who has practical experience. We are looking for a hands-on person who can help out with investigating a problem with our products and come up with a solution or idea. You probably have a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering and solid know-how in applied material sciences – plastics, steel, and carbon fiber. CAD, PDM, and FEM should be well-known tools and experience with product development from concept to validation and deployment is a great advantage. A solid ability to write and communicate in English and Swedish is a requirement.
As a person, you should be a team player who’s thriving in fast-paced development and want to develop your competence to meet future design opportunities. Are you our next Design Engineer? We’ll be happy to meet you.
